1. Who We Are

EDEN DRIVE LRC is a car rental company based in Rabat, Morocco, providing vehicle rental and delivery services throughout Morocco.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect personal information when customers visit our website, contact us, request a booking or rent a vehicle.

2. Personal Information We Collect

When a customer contacts us or requests a vehicle rental, we may collect their full name, telephone number, email address, booking dates, pickup and return locations, selected vehicle and related communications.

To verify identity and eligibility to drive, we may request a national identity card, passport, driving licence or other documentation necessary for the rental.

We also maintain information relating to completed rentals, including rental agreements, vehicle registration numbers, the identity of the authorised renter or driver, and vehicle collection and return dates and times.

Where relevant, we may retain records concerning traffic offences, accidents, vehicle damage, insurance claims or rental-related disputes.

Our website may also collect technical information, including IP addresses, browser details, device information and cookie preferences.

3. Why We Use Personal Information

We process personal information to respond to enquiries, verify identity and driving eligibility, manage bookings, prepare rental agreements, arrange vehicle delivery and return, and communicate with customers.

We also maintain business and rental records for administrative, accounting, contractual and legal purposes. Such records may be needed to investigate or respond to traffic violations, accidents, insurance claims, disputes or lawful enquiries concerning vehicles rented through EDEN DRIVE LRC.

We do not use customers’ booking information to send promotional emails or WhatsApp marketing messages.

4. Rental Records, Traffic Violations and Law Enforcement Requests

As a vehicle rental company, EDEN DRIVE LRC maintains rental records that help identify who was responsible for a particular vehicle during a specific rental period. These records may include the rental agreement, renter’s identity, relevant driving licence information, vehicle registration number and the dates and times of collection and return.

Traffic offence notices, including speeding violations, may be issued to EDEN DRIVE LRC as the registered owner or operator of a rental vehicle. When required under applicable procedures, we may provide the competent authority with a copy of the relevant rental agreement and the information necessary to identify the person who rented or was authorised to drive the vehicle at the time of the alleged offence.

Police, the Royal Moroccan Gendarmerie, judicial authorities or other legally authorised bodies may also contact EDEN DRIVE LRC after a rental has ended. These requests may concern road accidents, suspected fraud, theft, criminal investigations or other incidents involving a vehicle from our fleet.

In such circumstances, we may consult our rental archive and disclose relevant information where required or permitted by applicable law. We take reasonable steps to verify the legitimacy of requests and limit disclosure to information relevant to the specific legal matter.

Providing rental information does not, by itself, establish that a renter committed an offence.

5. Storage and Retention of Rental Records

EDEN DRIVE LRC stores rental records electronically on company computers and may also process booking information through its website and related service providers.

Rental agreements and associated customer records may remain in our archives after the rental period has ended. In some circumstances, these records may need to be retained for one year or longer, particularly where they are required to respond to delayed traffic offence notices, accidents, insurance claims, legal proceedings, investigations or other applicable obligations.

The applicable retention period depends on the category of information, the purpose of processing and relevant legal requirements.

We do not retain personal information indefinitely solely because a future request might be made. Retention periods must remain necessary, proportionate and consistent with applicable law.

Records that are no longer required for a lawful purpose should be securely deleted or anonymised. Records relevant to an ongoing legal matter may need to be retained for the period legally necessary to resolve that matter.

6. Online Booking and Payments

Customers can browse vehicles and submit booking requests through our website. Our booking system uses WordPress, WooCommerce and rental-booking functionality to process the information required for reservations.

Submitting a booking request does not necessarily mean that the reservation is confirmed or that payment has been made. Payment arrangements are handled separately after the booking request, according to the rental terms communicated to the customer.

7. WhatsApp Communications and Identity Documents

EDEN DRIVE LRC uses WhatsApp to communicate with customers regarding availability, booking confirmation, rental arrangements and documentation.

Where necessary for verification, customers may be asked to send identity documents or driving licence information through WhatsApp. Messages and documents received through this service may be used for the relevant rental purpose and, where lawfully necessary, incorporated into the company’s rental records.

WhatsApp is operated by an external provider and is subject to its own privacy terms. Customers should share identification documents only through the company’s authorised communication channels and when necessary for their rental.

8. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to support essential functions, including navigation, booking services, security and user preferences.

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website and identify opportunities for improvement. Where required by applicable law, non-essential tracking technologies are subject to the appropriate consent.

Visitors may manage their cookie preferences through the website’s available cookie controls and browser settings. Our website may also use external services such as Google Reviews, translation tools and WhatsApp links.

9. Legal Grounds for Processing

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, personal information may be processed where necessary to prepare or perform a rental agreement, meet legal obligations, respond to legitimate rental-related claims or protect lawful business interests.

Where consent is legally required, we seek that consent before carrying out the relevant processing. Any processing must comply with the requirements of Moroccan Law No. 09-08 and other applicable data-protection legislation.

10. Sharing Personal Information

Personal information may be shared with relevant service providers where necessary to operate the website, process bookings, manage communications or perform rental-related services.

Where legally justified, relevant records may also be disclosed to competent authorities, insurers, professional advisers or parties involved in legal proceedings. We seek to limit disclosure to information necessary for the relevant purpose.

Customer records are not intended to be disclosed for unrelated commercial or marketing purposes.

11. International Data Transfers

Some external service providers used by our website or communications systems may process information outside Morocco. Where international transfers occur, EDEN DRIVE LRC must comply with applicable requirements relating to the protection and transfer of personal data.

12. Data Security

We recognise the importance of protecting customer identification documents and rental records, particularly where information is stored on company computers.

Appropriate technical and organisational safeguards should be applied to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration or disclosure. Access to rental archives should be limited to authorised persons who require the information for legitimate business or legal purposes.

No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Your Data Protection Rights

Subject to applicable law, customers may request access to personal information held about them, correction of inaccurate data or opposition to certain processing. Other rights, including withdrawal of consent or requests relating to deletion, may apply depending on the circumstances and legal basis for processing.

A request to delete information does not automatically require the removal of rental records that must lawfully be retained for legal obligations, valid claims or ongoing proceedings.

To submit a privacy-related request, contact contact@edendrivelrc.com.

Customers may also contact the Moroccan data-protection authority, the Commission Nationale de Contrôle de la Protection des Données à Caractère Personnel (CNDP), concerning their rights.

14. Third-Party Services

Our website may link to independent third-party websites or services. Such services operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage customers to review those policies before providing personal information.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our operations, services or legal requirements. The latest version will be made available on our website with its publication date.
